The rain was nice while it lasted

Well, the rain was nice while it lasted. It was cold, though, but the air was so CLEAN. Anyways, we've got the place CLEAN. So we'll probably take some pictures of it soon. I'm out on the patio thing again. Reinstalling Gentoo (again, I can't find the drive I actually installed it on, or perhaps I got rid of it??), this time I'm doing raid on the / partition so that if it crashes I can keep working...

I hate Exchange. I was moving mailboxes fine, but the public folders won't sync/move between the servers at all. And the servers didn't want to route to each other, even though they were in the same routing group. I eventually just backed up the PFs to a local PST file and then blew them and the old server off of the Exchange map. Changed the mail store to use the PF on the new server (forgot to change that earlier), and changed the server to make it master of the routing group, and everyone was happy again. Well, except that we had to go around and change everyone's mail setup to use the new server. You'd think they'd put that into the AD so that when you login it knows....

If the CEO didn't require shared calendars, I'd blow away Exchange and put back IMAP in a heartbeat. And if Exchange pulls another "I don't work right" thing again, I may do that anyways, and figure out some other way of sharing calendars, it was a mess.

Did the jewish prayer thing this morning (at home, I've got a siddur and some printouts I like to use occasionally of an online siddur I found once), then proceeded to get ready to have the inlaws over this evening, which went just fine, although they're having fish tomorrow. I'll probably just have TV dinners or somesuch. Oh, that reminds me. Last Shabbes (Saturday) I decided not to have anymore pork, and so far The Wife seems OK with this... My plan to take over the world is proceeding on schedule... hahaha.
