Fallen donkeys

You shall not see your neighbor's donkey fallen and not help him.

Okay, I fulfilled this mitzvah tonight. On my walk (which I started to do again, I hope), I saw someone in the middle of the street, in the turn lane, with his car sitting there. I asked if his donkey was fallen and can't get up... wait... er... if his car was having problems. I ended up helping him push and steer the car off to the side of a minor crossroad and then some other people drove by and helped him to start the car. I left after they started to help him with the starting (being as I really don't know much about cars except I turn the key and push the pedals...)

Okay, we're finally moved in. *groan* I have lost 9 pounds on the Move-Out-In-Out-In exercise plan in just one month! Really. I weighed myself. What a difference moving 1 1/2 times makes...

We're mostly moved out of the trailer, so soon I can hand that over to the park and then be done with that. And our "area" in the Baileys' house is getting smaller slowly, but they're just down the street and not moving anytime soon, so we're ok there.

The internet here is slower, 'cause it's DSL and only about 500K instead of the 3000K I was getting from Comcast, but oh well. I got the washer installed (after getting new hoses for it), and the dryer installed (even though it tried hard to resist - the apartment comes with a very oval like opening for the dryer vent and my dryer, like all others, has a round opening, and the dryer came with a 3-prong and not 4-prong wire so I had to change that out too), and the bed put together. Mostly...

So now we kinda switch into unpacking mode, and next weekend I'm taking Saturday off from doing anything except driving the wife to work. If the car's still working...

Okay, I get to pay IRS taxes this year because my work didn't pull out enough. Last year I had this problem, and I fixed my W4. I clearly remember doing this. Yet it appears that ADP doesn't know that, they thought I was claiming two. Great. So, now I get to see if our accounting department got the W4, and if so I get to have a field day. In any case, it might delay our moving out into an apartment. Fun fun fun.
