Okay! Worked on a real VB.Net project - I converted a JTO XML parser (VB6) which previously converted it into HTML tables into a JTO XML parser (VB.Net) which posts to a MS-SQL database, using INI files (because System.Configuration seems to be a rather screwed up namespace, I don't like it), and it works just great...

I hafta pay taxes! Argh. Specifically, I have to pay this year, instead of getting a refund like most years. I think Signal didn't take out enough... so I get to make a check of $120 or so...
Work is fun. I'm SOOOO delighted about MS XML 5.0 (very, very sarcastic). I've seen better CSV parsers, not to mention XML. Ugh. I'm almost tempted to write my own.

Journal
Okay, I haven't been updating the journal much. I'll see if I can start doing that more.
I've got .Net (vb), but I don't know what I want to make with it. I haven't found any project that appealing that I wanna get on it and really work to make it work. I'm still waffling on making a calendar thingy that would do iCal-like stuff and work with shadskitty's (wife's) palm. Maybe, maybe no. I had some code before I lost everything by being stupid and accidentally deleting my XP partition - unbacked up. There's a reason FreeBSD and Linux tell you to back up your drive BEFORE installing. Oh well, life goes on.
